How to handel this......akward?

bfore leaving school (for 3 weeks, on a CRUISE!), I said see u to a freind and that I'll miss him, maybe a bit gruff cause...we'r both guys and it was a bit akward cause I said it just before going, didn't look back, couldn't miss my ship. He said sumthing like 'yeah cya' and yeah.....kinda akward. what do u think he really felt? did he think im gay, cause im not, i feel like just a friend. or that im overemotional? wht do i do once i get back to school? we r quite close and i dont wanna spoil the friendship by making him think i am overemotional or something or gay. advice, please? (sorry on the bad english, im not a fluent speaker)!!!
