Did the psychiatrist mean i have Bipolar 2?

Hi guys.How are you all today?I hope you are well. I am 23 years old and live in Glasgow,Scotland. I seen my psychiatrist this morning.A month ago i had an episode. It wasn't as severe as full-blown mania and i didn't need hospitalised.I was just extremely happy and grandiose and energised. I didn't need much sleep and i spent money with unusual extravangance.I also felt very productive and creative.The pdoc called this "hypomania".A few months previously i had major depression.He put me on the mood stabiliser Depakote.I asked him do i have Bipolar Disorder and he said "Yes, but a milder form".I believe that Bipolar 2 is a milder form of Bipolar. Did he mean that i have Bipolar 2? .Do i have Bipolar 2?Thanks very much.Hope you have a good day.
