I have Bipolar 2 - but i don't want to take medication.?

Hi everyone.How are you?I am 24 years old and live in Glasgow,Scotland. I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder.The psychiatrist is going to start me on a mood stabiliser tommorow but to be honest i don't want to take any medication.My Mum has Bipolar 2 also and her medication makes her very flat and zombified.I also enjoy my hypomanic states especially compared to the depressions. I feel so so great and happy and energised as well as very productive and creative. I thrive at work in these states.My doctor says that Bipolar 2 is a milder form of Bipolar so i think i will be okay.Do you think i can manage this condition without meds?Thanks for your time.Take care.
