Is he really sorry or just being nice?

So I just became friends with this guy and we talk alot. So I got his email so we can IM, since he doesn't have a facebook or texting. I emailed him saying: "Joe! I like ur aol name thingy pretty sexy lol! Ps it's Jane don't make fun of mine I made it wen I was 10...ahah" and he emailed back: "hey, sorry bout the late response got a ton to do this weekend, super busy sorry can't really talk, not gonna be home, sorry! Cya round" he said sorry 3 time wtf? Lol I was like dude not that big a deal ahaha so what? Is he just like actually sorry for not being able to talk or is he just being nice, or does he think I'm weird and is making an excuse?!
