Is one Is one hypomanic and one depressive episode enough for a Bipolar 2 diagnosis?

Hi guys. How are you all? I am 23 years old and live in Glasgow,Scotland. I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder after a hypomanic episode. A few months previously i had major depression. I don't agree with the diagnosis. Is one hypomanic and one depressive episode enough for a Bipolar 2 diagnosis?Should i get a second opinion?Thanks
